Paring knife with paduk handle

This paring knife is from the batch of Bräkne-Hoby knives. The strop is from an old horse-drawn carriage that rolled through the village. The strop has then been forged with nickel and 26C3 as edge steel. The hardness of the edge steel is approximately 64 HRC. The knife is also etched in ferric chloride, this to bring out the different contrasts.

The blade length is approximately 95 mm and the total length is approximately 215 mm. Height from back to heel is approximately 20 mm, the knife weighs approximately 50 grams. The handle is made of paduk.

This knife is not stainless steel but made of carbon steel, so remember to hand wash and dry the knife thoroughly after each use.
