Gyuto with smoked oak handle

This gyuto is from the batch of Bräkne-Hoby knives. The blade is from an old horse-drawn carriage that rolled through the village. The blade has then been forged with nickel and 26C3 as edge steel. This knife is stone polished, which means that the grinding facets are placed on different types of stones to bring out the different contrasts. The handle is made of smoked oak.

The blade length is approximately 220 mm and the total length is approximately 385 mm. Height from back to heel is approximately 54 mm and the knife weighs 174 grams.

This knife is not stainless steel but made of carbon steel, so remember to hand wash and dry the knife thoroughly after each use.
